Side Links

In the past, the agriculture sector faced several challenges, especially in difficult terrains such as steep slopes and hills. Due to the significant slope of the land, it was not feasible for agricultural machinery to plow the land quickly and efficiently. The solution came from the side links, also known as 'tie rods'.

The side links are placed at the rear of a tractor and on its arm, contributing to the movement of one arm, allowing the adjustment of the height on one side only. This results in the adjustment of the machines' inclination.

Initially, manual tie rods appeared, but nowadays, hydraulic ones are mainly used as they offer greater ease of use.

The hydraulic side link allows the tractor driver to adjust the machine without the need to interrupt its course, providing the following advantages:

  1. Reduced fuel costs

  2. Faster work

  3. Less fatigue

  4. Higher quality results

All of the above make the hydraulic side link an essential part of an agricultural tractor.

When constructing such a component, it is essential to consider the brand, type, and horsepower of the tractor, as well as the size of the machinery used.
